Widely recognized for her outstanding leadership of providing access to health and wellness for women and children in rural areas, she was awarded the Arkansas Governor’s Volunteer Excellence Award in the late nineties for AWHPI's works in the community as well as overseas. As the Founder/CEO of African Women’s Health Project International - AWHPI, she leads an international non-profit group that focuses on empowering women globally thru access to healthcare, economic empowerment, agriculture and trade associations, cultural developments, and partnerships.
The Princess is descended from one of the oldest and most distinguished Royal Family lines of Lagos, Nigeria, and the Royal House in the Republic of Benin respectively. She is the granddaughter of His Royal Majesty, David Ajasa Ogunlana, the 10th Obanikoro of Lagos, in Nigeria, who ruled from 1938 to 1969. She is also the great-granddaughter of the ninth ruling King of Remo Kingdom, Ogun State, His Royal Majesty, King (Oba) Liyangu Owabagbe Adenuga. The King of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, the late King (Oba) Adeyinka Oyekan was her beloved Uncle.
Long known for her coalition work, Princess Ogunlana has served on numerous boards of directors and advisory boards of global organizations such as the Sister Cities Commission, Eternal Care Foundation of Nigeria, Leaders Without Borders, Sino-Africa Economic Development Forum (UN), and Fight Cancer Global.
As Executive Board member of Fight Cancer Global, she supports Fight Cancer Global management and other Executive Board members through collaboration and strategic planning of global initiatives while communicating plans and progress to stakeholders.

Ms. King is the CEO of HumanTec and CoFounder & Director of One Island Institute. She serves as a Special Projects Consultant to the United Nations, and Global Advisor to the Deep Blue Institute and World Digital Foundation.
As a committed champion for DEI and women and girls, Kimberly serves as an NGO Representative to the UN Commission on Women and Advisor to the International Women's Think Tank. She is a Member of the G100 Global Women's Network and Co-Founder of WIESD - Women in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development - a community-driven startup accelerator launched in Sweden and the US.
Ms. King is an international speaker, media producer and co-author of “The Power of Team”. She has worked and traveled to over 70 countries and is an honored recipient of the Eleanor Roosevelt Global Humanitarian Award.
