Gelila Assefa Puck, the keynote speaker, an Ethiopian native, and partner/global creative director at The Wolfgang Puck Group of Companies, expressed her admiration for the efforts of Georgia State University's Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora. In particular, she applauds the event, "Ethiopia, Memories of Home: Revolution, Refuge, and Renewal," presented by the center. Ms. Puck emphasizes fostering understanding and awareness about Ethiopia's history, challenges, and resilience. The event featured an address by a prominent speaker, Dr. Yohannes Gedamu, Senior Lecturer of Political Science Georgia Gwinnett College, featured in the enlightening series, "An Evening With." Attendees had the opportunity to gain insights into the current situation in Ethiopia and how local and global communities can contribute to positive change.
