On October 26, 2014, The United Nations Association of Atlanta hosted a special presentation in celebration of United Nations Day. Guests heard about the history and current situation of Ukraine from Arden Stone, a recent Ukraine Peace Corps returnee. After the presentation, guests were treated to a musical performance by Liudmyla Zapukhliak and Elena Kovban.
Video clips from the musical performances:
"Тополя (Topolia - a poplar tree)," lyrics by Taras Shevchenko, Ukrainian poet.
"Бандуристе орле сизий" (Banduryste orle syzyi - Bandurist)", lyrics by Taras Shevchenko, Ukrainian poet.
Liudmyla Zapukhliak talks a little bit about the songs that she and Elena Kovban
performed with an encore performance.
